The availability of a particular service may depend on the device, location, technical condition, availability of parts, and other circumstances.

2. Service Enquiry and Booking

Submitting a service request, enquiry, contact form, WhatsApp message, or booking request does not automatically guarantee a confirmed appointment or service.

A booking may be considered confirmed only after Informetic International communicates confirmation through an appropriate channel.

We may contact you by phone, WhatsApp, email, or other available communication methods to confirm:

  • Customer details

  • Device information

  • Service requirements

  • Service location

  • Estimated charges

  • Appointment timing

  • Other relevant information

3. Diagnosis and Inspection

Before starting a repair, our technician may inspect and diagnose the device to determine the likely cause of the problem.

Diagnosis may involve:

  • Hardware inspection

  • Software testing

  • Component testing

  • System diagnostics

  • Network testing

  • Printer testing

  • Storage-device assessment

  • Other technical checks

The initial problem described by the customer may not always be the actual underlying fault.

Additional faults may become apparent during diagnosis or repair.

4. Service Estimate and Quotation

Where reasonably possible, we may provide an estimated repair cost after diagnosis.

The final cost may vary depending on:

  • Actual fault discovered

  • Parts required

  • Availability and price of replacement parts

  • Additional technical work

  • Customer-requested changes

  • Taxes or other applicable charges

  • Third-party or manufacturer-related requirements

Where additional work materially changes the estimated cost, we may seek customer approval before proceeding, where reasonably practicable.

5. Parts and Replacement Components

Replacement parts may be:

  • Original/OEM parts

  • Genuine parts

  • Compatible parts

  • Refurbished parts

  • New aftermarket parts

The type of part supplied or installed will depend on availability, compatibility, customer requirements, and the agreed service.

Where the customer specifically requests a particular brand or type of component, availability may affect the final quotation and service timeline.

We do not guarantee that every required replacement part will always be available.

6. Warranty on Repair Services

Where a specific repair or replacement part includes a warranty, the applicable warranty period and conditions will be communicated to the customer through the invoice, service document, quotation, or other applicable communication.

Warranty coverage may apply only to the specific repair or component covered by the stated warranty.

Warranty may not cover:

  • Physical damage

  • Liquid or moisture damage

  • Accidental damage

  • Electrical or voltage-related damage

  • Improper handling

  • Unauthorized modification or repair

  • Malware or virus-related issues

  • New or unrelated faults

  • Damage caused after delivery

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Consumable items, where applicable

Warranty terms may vary depending on the service and replacement component.

7. Data Backup Responsibility

Customers are strongly advised to maintain a complete backup of important data before submitting a device for repair, upgrade, operating-system installation, virus removal, or other technical work.

The customer remains responsible for maintaining backups of important:

  • Documents

  • Photos

  • Videos

  • Business files

  • Emails

  • Software data

  • Other personal or business information

Unless specifically agreed in writing, Informetic International does not guarantee preservation of customer data during repair or technical service.

8. Data Recovery Services

Data recovery is a technically uncertain service.

Successful recovery cannot be guaranteed because the result may depend on:

  • Physical condition of the storage device

  • Logical damage

  • File-system corruption

  • Overwriting of deleted data

  • Encryption

  • Mechanical failure

  • Controller failure

  • SSD technology

  • Other technical conditions

Any recovery estimate provided before detailed assessment may be subject to change.

Where recovery is technically unsuccessful, charges may still apply for diagnostic or agreed technical work, if communicated to the customer.

9. Customer Authorization

By submitting a device for repair or service, the customer confirms that they are authorized to provide the device to Informetic International for the requested work.

The customer should not submit a device belonging to another person or organization without appropriate authorization.

For business, corporate, or organization-owned devices, the person requesting service is responsible for obtaining the necessary authorization from the relevant organization.

10. Customer Data and Confidentiality

We understand that computers, storage devices, and business equipment may contain confidential information.

Our technicians will make reasonable efforts to protect customer information and access only information reasonably necessary for the requested technical service.

However, customers should remove or secure highly sensitive information wherever reasonably possible before submitting a device for repair.

Our handling of personal information is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Passwords and Access Credentials

Certain services may require passwords, administrator access, device PINs, Wi-Fi credentials, or other access information.

Customers should provide only the credentials reasonably necessary to perform the requested service.

Where possible, customers may create temporary access credentials for technical work.

We will not intentionally use customer credentials for purposes unrelated to the requested service.

12. Windows Installation and Software

Windows installation, operating-system reinstallation, software installation, activation, and configuration services are subject to applicable software licensing requirements.

Customers are responsible for providing valid licenses or product keys where required.

Informetic International does not support or encourage the use of pirated, cracked, illegally activated, or unauthorized software.

If a customer requests installation of third-party software, the customer is responsible for ensuring that they have the legal right to use that software.

13. Virus and Malware Removal

  • Distance

  • Service location

  • Type of service

  • Travel requirements

  • Emergency or priority requests

Some repairs may not be suitable for doorstep service and may need to be performed at our service location.

In such cases, the device may need to be transported to our service facility with the customer’s approval.

15. Appointment and Waiting Time

Customers are requested to provide accurate contact and location information for doorstep or scheduled services.

Appointment times are estimates and may be affected by:

  • Traffic

  • Weather

  • Technician availability

  • Parts availability

  • Emergency service requirements

  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays where practicable.

16. AMC Services

Annual Maintenance Contract (“AMC”) services are governed by the specific scope, duration, service frequency, equipment list, and terms agreed with the customer.

AMC may include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, technical support, and other services specified in the applicable agreement.

Unless specifically included in the AMC agreement, the following may be charged separately:

  • Replacement parts

  • New equipment

  • Major hardware repairs

  • Consumables

  • Third-party charges

  • Specialized services

  • Additional installations

The specific AMC quotation or agreement will take precedence where it contains terms specific to the customer’s contract.

17. CCTV Products and Services

CCTV product supply, installation, configuration, repair, and maintenance may depend on:

  • Product availability

  • Camera specifications

  • Site conditions

  • Cabling requirements

  • Internet connectivity

  • Storage requirements

  • DVR/NVR compatibility

  • Power availability

  • Customer requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring that CCTV surveillance is used in accordance with applicable laws and privacy requirements.

Informetic International provides technical installation and support and does not determine the legal appropriateness of surveillance at a particular location.

18. Networking and Internet Services

Networking and internet-related services may include router configuration, LAN setup, Wi-Fi setup, troubleshooting, and related technical support.

Internet speed, uptime, and availability may depend on the customer’s Internet Service Provider (“ISP”), infrastructure, location, equipment, and external network conditions.

Informetic International is not responsible for outages or service failures caused by an external ISP or third-party network provider.

19. Service Completion and Delivery

A repair or service may be considered completed when:

  • The agreed work has been performed; or

  • The device has been tested to the extent reasonably possible; or

  • The customer has been informed that the device is ready for collection or delivery.

Customers should inspect their device and accessories at the time of collection or delivery where reasonably possible.

20. Uncollected Devices

Customers should collect repaired or serviced devices within the period communicated by Informetic International.

If a device remains uncollected for an extended period after reasonable attempts to contact the customer, storage or other reasonable charges may apply where legally permissible and where such charges have been communicated.

If a device remains abandoned for a prolonged period, we may take further action in accordance with applicable law.

We recommend that customers keep their contact information updated so that service and collection notifications can be delivered successfully.

21. Payment Terms

Customers are responsible for paying the agreed service charges, parts charges, applicable taxes, and other disclosed charges.

Payment may be required:

  • Before service

  • At the time of service

  • At the time of delivery

  • At the time of collection

  • According to an agreed corporate or AMC payment schedule

The applicable payment terms will depend on the service.

Where an advance payment is required, the service may not begin until the required payment has been received.

22. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund eligibility may depend on:

  • Type of service

  • Whether work has already started

  • Whether parts have been ordered

  • Whether parts have been installed

  • Whether third-party charges have been incurred

  • The specific quotation or service agreement

  • Applicable law

If a customer wishes to cancel a service, they should contact Informetic International as soon as possible.

Any applicable refund will be handled according to the agreed service terms and applicable law.

Prices displayed on the website, promotional materials, or other communication may be indicative unless specifically stated otherwise.
